This Privacy Policy describes how Quarter: Korean Saju Match ("Quarter," "we," "us") collects, uses, and protects information when merchants install our Shopify app and when their customers use the storefront widget.
1. Information We Collect
From Merchants (Shopify Store Owners)
When you install Quarter, we access the following through the Shopify Admin API:
- Store domain (e.g.,
your-store.myshopify.com)
- Product data and metafields you create for archetype tagging (product title, handle, image, price, and the keywords you assign)
- Basic session information required to authenticate your app installation
From Customers (Storefront Visitors)
When a customer uses the Quarter widget on your storefront:
- Birth date and, optionally, birth time are submitted to generate a Saju (elemental) result.
- We do not store or retain birth dates or birth times on our servers. This information is processed in real time to generate a result and is immediately discarded after the response is returned.
- We do not collect names, emails, or any other personally identifiable information from customers through the widget.
Usage Data
We keep a simple monthly count of how many results each store has generated (store domain + count + month), used solely to apply plan limits (e.g., free plan monthly cap). This data does not include any customer information.
2. How We Use Information
We use the information described above to:
- Generate personalized Saju results and product recommendations
- Match recommended products based on merchant-defined archetype keywords
- Enforce plan usage limits tied to a merchant's subscription
- Maintain and improve the app's functionality
